JTC, SKF demand minority status for Pandits

JAMMU, May 2: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) was held here, today under the chairmanship of P.L. Thusoo, chairman JTC/SKF (J&K).
While addressing the participants  Shadi Lal Pandita, president JTC/SKF said that the previous Collation Government of N C and Congress party had assured for sanctioning 10,000 posts in addition to Prime Minister employment package for Kashmiri Pandit migrant youth in order to absorb the educated youth in different Government departments but nothing has been done till date in this regard.
Pandita has demanded that the present State and Centre Government should ensure announcing sanction of 10,000 additional posts for Kashmiri Pandit migrant youth ensuring them employment opportunities to over come present unemployment problem.
Pandita has also demanded implementation of Prime Ministers employment package in letter and spirit by filling up of remaining posts under this package.
He demanded that at hostel at Delhi be brought up for Kashmiri Pandit community for affording free residential accommodation to the community students for undergoing higher education/professional trainings on the same trainings on the same pattern as has to be done for other community of J&K State.
A demand has also been made for bringing up three satellite townships for ensuring return and rehabilitation of the migrants in Kashmir valley near Srinagar, Baramulla and Anantnag.
Shadi Lal Pandita has demanded minority status for KPs with reserving one Parliamentary seat and three Assembly seats for this community for ensuring their representation in the Parliament of India as well as in State Legislature.
