JTC, SKF dharna enters 394th day

JAMMU, Oct 31: The dharna launched by the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) at Jagti township near Nagrota has entered 394th day today.
Addressing the protestors Shadi Lal Pandita president, JTC and SKF said that the Government is ignoring Kashmiri Pandits and also the BJP Government has not resolved any issue of displaced people from Kashmir till date.
Pandita said that they have been protesting for 394 days but the Government is still not meeting the demands. He urged the Government to increase the monthly cash relief from Rs 13,000 to 25,000 as relief holders are living a very difficult life in the exile.
He said unemployment in the community has reached its peak due to which the educated youth are worried and demanded a new package of 20,000 jobs for the displaced youth.
He further said that the long pending demands such as permanent resettlement and three satellite townships should be built in Kashmir Valley near Baramull, Srinagar and Anantnag. He said the property loss of 32 years be compensated and illegal occupation of land, property and religious places be removed with community be given minority status and political empowerment.
