JAMMU, June 18: Jagti Tenements Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) in a meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of its president, Shadi Lal Pandita discussed various issues confronting Displaced Pandits.
The meeting demanded permanent rehabilitation of the Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley and alleged that successive Governments except promises have done nothing in this regard. Pandita demanded enhancement of relief from Rs 13000 to 25000 per month per family in view of the price hike of the essential commodities. He also demanded release of balance ex-gratia relief in respect of the gutted properties of KPs in the Valley and said the loss assessment made in the past in this regard is very low and demands that it should be reassessed so that the adequate compensation is granted to the victims and balanced ex-gratia should be released.
He also demanded implementation of PM’s employment package in letter and spirit and settlement of Pandits in three townships in Kashmir Valley.
