JTC, SKF discuss demands

JAMMU, Aug 29:  A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and  Soan Kashmir Front J&K (SKF) was held today under the chairmanship of it is president Shadi Lal Pandita in which various issues of Kashmiri migrants were discussed.
While addressing the participants Shadi Lal Pandita reiterated the demand for announcing 10,000 posts for the displaced youth of the community. He further demanded Prime Minister’s Employment Package announced long back in the year 2008 needs to be implemented in letter and spirit by filling up the remaining posts.
Pandita said for return and rehabilitation of Pandits the Government should take steps for bringing up three townships in Kashmir Valley with grant of political reservation of three Assembly seats and one Parliamentary seat for the community for electing their representatives.
He has made a demand for granting minority status to Kashmiri Pandit community enabling them to avail the benefits under this category.
Pandita demanded enhancement of the cash assistance from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per month per family in favour of the migrants enabling them to  over come present financial problems and also provide one time compensation of years  losses of properties @ one crore of each and every KP family.
