JAMMU, Aug 11: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) in its joint meeting here today held under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita has demanded immediate construction of protection bund along the nullah in Jagti which suffered a constant damage during recent floods.
The meeting said that the nullah can create havoc in the Jagti township in case the bund is not constructed. The meeting demanded that the quarters which have been unnecessarily locked in the Jagti township by some people be allotted to deserving migrants. It demanded that the verification be carried in this regard immediately. The meeting also demanded renovation of migrant quarters at Jagti.
The meeting expressed grave concern over increasing militant attacks in the State. Rajinder Dhar, Sunil Raina, B L Koul, Maharaj Krishan Tingloo, Vinod Bhat, Vimal Raina, R K Tickoo, Sunil Koul and others attended the meeting.
