JAMMU, Dec 16: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) have appealed the concerned authorities for early issuance of EPIC forms to all migrant voters of Kashmir province to ensure the use of their franchise in the ensuing Parliament as well as Assembly elections.
Addressing a joint meeting of JTC and SKF, Shadi Lal Pandita, expressed grave concern over the failure of the authorities in making EPIC forms available to most of the migrants of different Assembly Constituencies of Kashmir Province.
Most of the migrant voters of district Pulwama, Baramulla, Anantnag, Srinagar, Shopian, Kulgam, Kupwara, Budgam, Ganderbal and Bandipora have not yet been supplied EPIC forms, which is likely to deprive them of their fundamental right of using their franchise in ensuing Parliament as well as Assembly elections, he alleged.
Pandita also urged the Government for early issuance of RBA certificates in favour of migrant youth from reserved backward areas of Kashmir Province enabling them to avail the benefits of the same.
