JTC/SKF for issuance of ration slip books to migrants

JAMMU, Mar 24: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) /Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) was held near here at Jagti township Nagrota under the chairmanship of its president, Shadi Lal Pandita.
Addressing the meeting Pandita said that the Kashmiri Pandit migrant relief holders have not yet received the ration slip books for the year 2024 on which the relief holders can get their monthly ration. Pandita said that due to non- receipt of the slip books the migrant relief holders could not get the ration for the month of April 2024.
He requested the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Migrants to direct the concerned authorities so that the ration slip books of the migrant relief holders can be issued as soon as possible. Pandita also said that the Government is giving a stepmotherly treatment to Kashmiri migrants while migrant pensioners and Government employees used to get ration at ration depots on controlled rates which has been stopped by the Government. The Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Migrants is requested to direct the concerned authorities for sending the ration quota of migrant pensioners/ government employees to ration depots so that they can purchase the ration on controlled rates.
Pandita said that the Kashmiri Pandits have been forced to live in exile for past 34 years and how long will this exile of last which is raising a question mark on both State and the Centre Government which lack a concrete policy in this regard.
