JTC, SKF highlight demands

JAMMU, June 29: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) held here, today under the leadership of Shadi Lal Pandita discussed the problems being faced by the displaced Pandits from Valley.
Addressing the meeting Pandita reiterated his demand of rehabilitating the displaced Pandits at the safe and secure places in Valley near Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramulla and Kupwara by extending all constitutional facilities to them.
He also demanded reservation of three Assembly seats for Pandits in the State with one Lok Sabha and one Rajya Sabha seat. He said in view of the prevailing situation in Valley the KPs be settled jointly in townships.
He also demanded compensation for damaged properties and losses suffered during last three decades by the community, restoration of encroached religious places and their protection, restoration of encroached properties of the community, release of balance ex-gratia relief, creation of 1000 class fourth posts for those youth who could not continue education after 10th and filling up of remaining posts under PM’s employment package.
