JTC, SKF highlight problems of displaced people

JAMMU, Jan 30: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front, (SKF) was held here today under the chairmanship of  Shadi Lal Pandita, President of the Committee & Front. The meeting was attended by the office bearers and members of both the organizations.
During the meeting various issues and sufferings of the Kashmiri Pandit migrant community were discussed in detail.
While addressing the participants  Shadi Lal Pandita has said that a r ay of hope has emerged regarding implementation of PM’s employment package and construction of quarters after the recent directives passed by governor N N Vohra to officers.
The participants of the meeting have appealed his for ensuring permanent rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit migrant community in Sattalite Township in Kashmir Valley near Srinagar city for their dignified and peaceful living.
A demand has been put forward for ensuring grant of one time compensation to the Kashmiri pandit migrant families for the losses suffered by them during past 27 years of migration due to damages to their properties in Kashmir Valley.
