JAMMU, Nov 2: A protest rally was held by the office bearers and members of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front J&K here today under the presidentship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president of JTC/Soan Kashmir Front J&K at Jagti Migrant Camp, Nagrota.
During the protest rally various issues were highlighted and the participants expressed their grave concern over the attitude of both Central and State Government in mitigating the sufferings of the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant community and ensuring their fundamental rights.
Pandita said that Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Community has been ignored at all levels and deprived of using their fundamental right of using their franchise. He appealed the authorities for preparing the voter lists of the Kashmiri Pandits in accordance with the data form duly filled by the migrants and lying in relief organsation and different relief zones so as to ensure use of franchise by the migrant community during coming elections instead of filling M forms which is a hectic job.
Other who attended the meeting included Rattan Lal Bhat, Inderjeet Labroo, Hari Krishan, Ram Krishan Pandita, C L Pandita, Vijay Pandit, Sanjay Pandita, Sunil Raina, Mithen Pandita, Ramesh Bhat, M L Pandita, Sanjay Bhat, M L Akhoon, S N Gurtoo and G L Bhat.
