JTC, SKF project demands

JAMMU, Oct 4: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front SKF) held a meeting today under the presidentship of Shadi Lal Pandita and projected the demands of the Kashmiri migrant community.
During the meeting, the participants said that Government has been silent over the migrant’s problems for the immediate permanent rehabilitation of the migrants in the Valley.
They draw the attention towards the loss of the property in the valley for the last 25 years and have been demanding to set up three townships in Kashmir valley near Srinagar for the convenient of the migrants.
While speaking, Pandita demanded compensation for the loss of property for the past 25 years in Valley, compensation for the flood affected Kashmiri Pandit community people, enhancement of cash relief, employment to migrant youths and police recruitment drives for migrant youths.
He warned to launch agitation if the aforesaid demands are not redressed by the Government at the earliest.
Among others present were Rajinder Dhar, Sanjay Pandita, Vijay Pandita, Sanjay Bhat, PL Thussu, ML Akhoon, SN Gurtoo, etc.
