JTC, SKF project issues

JAMMU, May 23: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) held a meeting under the leadership of its President Shadi Lal Pandita.
While speaking, Pandita said that the Government is ignoring Kashmiri migrants even in this difficult time. He said due to prevailing COVID pandemic situation, the relief holders, pensioners, unemployed youth, businessmen, hawkers and labourers are forced to live a very miserable life.
He said Government should announce a package of cash assistance and additional ration relief for Kashmiri Pandit migrants as soon as possible as they are stuck in their house and quarters due to the lockdown imposed in wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
He said that today’s inflation has broken the back of the poor people who are not getting their daily livelihood while today every family needs medicine etc to save them, adding that the Government must come forward to help.
Pandita urged the Government to vaccinate all the KP migrant community who are living in camps and non camps as soon as possible.
He also urged the Government to increase the monthly cash relief from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family.
