JTC/SKF warn Govt against ignoring displaced Pandits

JAMMU, June 25: A meeting of the Jagti Tenements Committee (JTC) /Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held under the chairmanship of its president, Shadi Lal Pandita today.
The meeting while cautioning the B.J.P Government at the Centre warned it for ignoring the Kashmiri Pandit migrants by depriving them of their fundamental rights and permanent rehabilitation in the Kashmir Valley.
The meeting said that the Front has been demanding settlement of exiled KPs in three districts of the Kashmir Valley i.e in Srinagar, Baramulla and Anantnag districts. It has time and again been demanding that one satellite township be set-up for the Kashmiri Pandit hailing from districts of Kupwara, Bandipora and Baramulla, second satellite township for the Kashmiri Pandit from Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal and also the third satellite township for KPs hailing from Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama Kashmir.
The meeting also demanded reservation of seats in Parliament and State Legislature for Kashmiri Pandits and demanded that a Bill be passed in Parliament in this regard. It further demanded enhancement of cash relief for Kashmiri migrants in view of price hike.
