JTC, SP Cell list migrants problems

JAMMU, Oct 17: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front in a meeting at Jagti township today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita discussed various demands of the displaced people and the inmates of Jagti.
The meeting while commenting on the option sought by Relief organization that whether migrants will opt for cash in lieu of ration decided that the migrants be provided ration as per on going practice. The meeting demanded that the ration for the month of September and October be released immediately. It also demanded enhancement of cash relief to Rs 25,000 per month, providing of ration slip books to government employees and pensioners,  release of salaries of package employees and enhancement of ration quota from 20 kgs to 50 kgs in case of migrant employees.
Meanwhile Samajwadi Party Migrant Cell president, Inder Ji Labroo has expressed concern over encroachment of lanes in Jagti and demanded that the same be restored immediately.
He also demanded that the migrant children in camps and non camps be also provided the nutrition benefits by ICDS Department as these children are being ignored and all the pending problems of migrants including grant of RBA, bifurcation, inclusion, issuance of State Subject certificates, release of ration quota of last two months etc be settled.
