KARGIL, Jan 19: MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal popularly known as JTN here today chaired the 4th Quarter District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting to review the progress of different Centrally Sponsored Schemes within the district.
District Level DISHA Committee, including Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Shrikant Suse and heads of various departments, agencies, stakeholders, NGOs and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The MP inquired about the progress under Beneficiaries Oriented Centrally Sponsored Schemes such as PM-VISHVAKARMA, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, MGNEREGA, SBM, PMAY-Urban and Rural, NHM, Poshan Abhiyaan, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, PMGKAY, PM UJWALA, National Social Assistance Programme, Family Benefit Schemes, NHM, Status of JJM, PMKKKY, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and others.
During the meeting, JTN instructed Industrial Promotion Officer, Kargil to introduce various trades tailored to Ladakh’s context. He also stressed on implementation of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme.
He sought updates on the action taken report from the previous DISHA meeting along with the latest physical and financial progress reports for each programme.
The MP directed CMO Kargil to promote the empanelled hospital list on social media for Ayushman Bharat Golden Card beneficiaries.
Namgyal inquired about the newly sanctioned roads under PMGSY, implementation of labour welfare schemes and asked the concerned to distribute compensation through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for NHIDCL packages.
Meanwhile, the MP directed all the sectoral heads of the respective departments to hold awareness camps at various villages in coordination with the DISHA Committee and PRI members so that people get benefit of the centrally sponsored schemes.
Earlier, Chief Planning Officer, Kargil, in presence of MP Namgyal through power point presentation presented various Centrally Sponsored Schemes and their achievements.
