JAMMU, May 7: The Business School of Jammu University conducted donation drive in collaboration with Aradhana-a ray of hope.
Aradhana – a ray of hope is a non- governmental organization operating since 2009 in J&K. It vision is holistic development of underprivileged children with special emphasis on their education. The NGO also engages in rehabilitation services, distribution drives etc for common masses.
Aradhana collaborated with The Business School, Jammu University for a 7- day collection drive which took place in the university campus. The drive was aimed at collection of essentials like Stationery items, toiletries, milk packets, biscuits, ration, clothing etc.
Later these items will be distributed among slum area residents as a donation drive.
Aradhana’s founder and chairperson Monika Mitter visited the university campus along with her team members namely Vandita Sharma, Manish Sharma, Srishti Gupta, Vansh Singh, Devaansh Anand, Prabsimran Singh and Ruchi Jain. She presented a certificate of gratitude to Prof Sameer Gupta (Director, TBS), Prof Alka Sharma, Prof Vinay Chauhan along with the faculty members of Management Club TBS, Dr Komal Nagar and Dr Saloni Devi. Monika Mitter also interacted with the university students and she threw light on the topics of Social entrepreneurship, Corporate social responsibility and how it is important to give back to the society for one’s own development.
All students of the University contributed in the collection drive. Aradhana will have long term association with TBS for the same cause, said handout.
