JU Deptt of Sanskrit organizes seminar

JAMMU, Dec 15:  The Department of Sanskrit, University of Jammu, today organized one day national seminar titled “Vividha Vidhaon Mein Mahakavi Kshemendra Ka Panditya Nirupan.”
Prof R D Sharma, Vice Chancellor, JU, presided over the function. Prof  Virendra Kumar Alankara from Punjab University, Chandigarh delivered the key note address. The main focus of the lecture was on the various aspects of the literature written by Acharya Kshemendra.
Padamshree Prof  Ved Kumari Ghai and Prof  Pritam Chandra Shastri were Saraswati Atithi. Prof  Renu Bala from GNDU and Prof  Kaushalya Chohan from HP  University were special guests.
Prof. Kedar Nath Sharma, Head of the Department,  in his welcome address gave a brief overview of the department and the seminar.
Prof. Ram Bahadur Shukla gave an introduction of the seminar. He also dwelt on the various aspects of the seminar and the works of Acharya Kshemandra.
The scholars from various departments of JU, SMVDU, Central University, Kashmir University, JNU also attended the session.  Prof Sushma Devi presented the vote of thanks.  Prof. Ramnika Jalali convened the progrmme.
