JAMMU, Dec 13: The protesting Class-IV employees of Jammu University, who are demanding re-instatement of   their suspended colleagues, today announced to extend the time duration of daily token.
Talking to media persons on the campus, the president of Jammu Non-Gazetted Employees Union (NGEU), Vijay Sharma said that from Monday onwards, the Class-IV employees would suspend the work for three hours daily and hold protest demonstration if their demand is not conceded in next two days.
He alleged that the two Watchmen, who were suspended for defacement of replica foundation stone on the campus a few days ago, have been made scapegoat by the JU authorities.
Taking a tough posture, the NGEU president made a fresh demand for shifting of Assistant Registrar, Establishment Section for holding any talks to end the stalemate.   “This AR is working in the Establishment  section for the last 10-12 years and  most of the class 4th employees’ files are pending because  he is not forwarding the same,”  Mr Vijay alleged and warned the JU authorities to concede their both the demands or face vigorous agitation by the employees.
Meanwhile, the ongoing protest of NGEU continued on 5th day consecutive day today. The protesting employees assembled in front of the Old Administration block and shouted slogans in support of their demands.
