JU intends to start various courses: VC

Vice Chancellor, Prof MPS Ishar inaugurating PG course in Sericulture at Poonch Campus, Jammu University on Monday.

JAMMU, Sept 10: Jammu University is intending to start courses in Food Technology, Zoology, Gujjar and Bhakerwal research Centre, etc and many more job oriented courses.
This was disclosed by Vice Chancellor, Jammu University, Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, after inaugurating the PG course in Sericulture at Poonch campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Ishar said the Poonch campus is all set to become the premier institute of learning in near future. He said the campus would benefit hundreds of students from rural and far-flung areas.
The course is being started in the make shift arrangement at Degree College Poonch. The Campus was announced in 2008 with the introduction of e-learning course for rural girl students.
VC took round of the College and saw the various development works undertaken. Prof Ishar also visited the site, which has been earmarked for the setting up of the campus at Janyar village.
Earlier, Prof JS Tara, Director, Poonch Campus, presented the welcome address.
