JAMMU, Aug 14: The Law School, University of Jammu today organized orientation lectures for the students.
Prof. Afzal wani ,Head and Dean Indraprastha University, Delhi delivered a general orientation lecture to the students. The topic of the lecture was “Role of Law In Society”. In his address, Prof Wani said that law is an agency of social control which is a system that regulates the society. He also emphasized on the role of mother in the life of the children as discipline starts from home only.
Vikas Gupta, S.S.P Jammu, another guest speaker, acquainted the students with the organization, structure, benefits and procedures involved for induction in police services. He further focused upon the role of police in the maintenance of law and order in the society.
Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Director, The Law School welcomed and introduced the speakers to the students.
Dr. Monica Narang presented the formal vote of thanks.
