JU Law School organizes lecture, alumni interaction

JAMMU, Apr 21: The Law School, University of Jammu, organized lecture series and alumni interaction on `Personality development and better placement’.
The eminent alumni Ravinder Raina (MLA Nowshera) and Navdeep Singh Sen, interacted with the students.
Ravinder Raina delivered an interactive lecture on historical background of the Sate of Jammu & Kashmir revealing the realities, facts and issues concerning State. He dwelt with the efforts and initiative taken by Maharajas for the establishment of Jammu and Kashmir till the accession. In the process, he stressed upon the role of people and different professional groups in general and advocates in the process of nation building. The scholars of law background can play a significant role in taking up social causes and promote social justice, he added.
Navdeep Singh Sen, JLA Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, J&K, in his interaction with the Law School students, made them familiar with importance of Resume and profile building and the manner in which both can be instrumental in good placements .He also laid stress on strengthening of the potential through research paper publications during their five year course for better placement opportunities. He further guided them how to prepare for competitive exams.
Earlier Director of The law School, Dr Sanjay Gupta welcomed the dignitaries. Dr Shubha Vats introduced the guest speakers to the audience and Dr Monica Narang delivered vote of thanks.
