JAMMU, Apr 6: A delegation of Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees Union called on Vice-Chancellor Prof Manoj Dhar and demanded mass testing of Covid-19 in the university.
The delegation, led by JUNTEU general secretary, Amit Gupta drew attention towards sudden rise in Covid-19 cases in general and purported positive test of some JU employees, who were in contact with their university colleagues.
“In order to rule out further spread of Covid -19 cases, Universities authorities should carry out mass testing once again with fool proof strategy covering all the staff members in a phased manner after observing all SOPs,” said the delegation and urged the Vice-Chancellor to issue necessary instructions in this regard at the earliest.
The delegation also suggested carrying other sanitization and fumigation at a large scale on the campus to mitigate the Corona scare.
