JAMMU, Mar 20: Jammu University has notified some new members of the University Council and Syndicate, nominated by the Chancellor and the Vice-Chancellor, for the triennial period of 2015-18.
Prof Rajni Dhingra and Prof Keshav Sharma have been included in the University Council as two nominated Deans of JU faculties by the Chancellor while Prof Kiran Bakshi, Principal of GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu will be representing college Principal in the body.
Two nominees of the Chancellor and heads of Jammu University Teachers Association and College Teachers Association will be notified later on.
For the University Syndicate, Prof Mubarak Singh and Prof J P S Jorel have been nominated as two Deans of the faculties of the university by rotation by the Vice-Chancellor.
Dr Ramnika Jalali of Sanskrit Department, Dr G M Bhat of Geology and Dr Renu Sachar of the Chemistry Department have been nominated to the Syndicate as three nominees of the Chancellor.
Dean, Faculty of Biological Sciences, Kashmir University, and Dean Faculty of Engineering, KU have also been nominated to the Syndicate as the Chancellor’s nominee.
Two Principals of affiliated colleges, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor with the approval of the Pro-Chancellor, will be notified late on.
Similarly one member of the JU Academic Council and two members of the Syndicates of other university, shall also be notified later.
