JAMMU, Nov 26: As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the University of Jammu, the Department of Students Welfare organized ‘Mehfil-E-Ghazal’ by Subhash Langeh and Neelam Langeh at Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.
Prof RK Ganjoo, Registrar, University of Jammu was the chief guest at the occasion, who while speaking appreciated the efforts of Dean Students Welfare for organizing various programmes of different genres for the stakeholders of the University thus making the Golden Jubilee Celebration vibrant.
Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare informed that the Department of Students Welfare has chalked out many more programmes for the students, scholars, faculty, staff and all the stakeholders as art and culture brings everyone closer and creates harmony.
With the popular ghazals like “Yeh Daulat Bhi Le Lo”, “Hosh Walon Ko Khabar Kya”, “Honton Pe Dua Rakna”, “Chitthhi Na Koi Sandesh”, “Tumko Dekha To Yeh Khayal Aaya” and more, the duo of Subhash Langeh and Neelam Langeh mesmerized the audience with their soulful singing. They were accompanied by Rakesh Anand, Slokas Nar, Vicky Gill, Rahul Bhardwaj and Amit Anand.
Prof Anupama Vohra, Co-Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee, Dr Neeraj Sharma, Special Secretary to Vice-Chancellor, Dr AR Manhas, Dr Yog Raj, Dr Samridhi Arora and members of Campus Cultural Committee, students and scholars were also present at the occasion.
Dr Pritam Singh, Assistant Dean (SW) presented the vote of thanks.
The events were coordinated by Mansi Mantoo, Ifra Kak and Sumeet Sharma. Kulbhushan Thakur and Arif Paul looked after the sound. Mehfil-E-Ghazal was conducted by Syed Ahmed.
