JU organizes experiential workshop on GST, its corporate applications

JAMMU, Mar 19: International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu, organised two-day Experiential Workshop on GST and its Corporate Applications.
The objective of the workshop was to acquaint students with the corporate ready skills pertaining to GST and its applications like GST filling, assessment and implications for corporate houses. The resource person for the two-day workshop was Vineet Kohli, Chartered Accountant and Senior Partner, Kohli Associates, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Vineet Kohli enabled students to understand the GST framework and its application across different industry verticals. He practically conducted hands-on practice sessions for the students to make them learn about the GST filling process, GST Returns, GST Supply, Input Tax Credit, GST Registration and handling GST filling across different industry setups.
Professor Neetu Andotra, Director, ICccR & HRM and Dean Business Studies, JU, stressed upon the need for skilling students with such like corporate centric interventions that enable them to place themselves in suitable industry verticals. She further assured that organising such like skill-based workshops in more extensive formats will be pursued at the department that will increase corporate readiness amongst the students.
The workshop was preceded by formal student-teacher interaction wherein the students of MBA (IB) Semester I interacted with their seniors and respective faculty members.
