JU organizes special lecture on ‘Internship for in-service teachers’

JAMMU, July 18: The Directorate of Distance & Online Education, University of Jammu organized a special lecture on the theme “Internship for in-service teachers” and “Role of JKSCERT” for IInd Semester B Ed students and in- service teachers of DD&OE, JU, here today.
Dr Jaspal Singh, Coordinator B Ed Programme inaugurated the session and also introduced the guest speakers Prof C L Shivgotra (Retd Profesor from Government College of Education, Jammu) and Dr Rakesh Sharma (Principal, Kalra College of Education, Patnitop).
Dr C L Shivgotra highlighted the importance of Internship & Project Work activities in the B Ed programme and discussed all the aspects of an internship, like visit cum observation to High School, Higher Secondary Schools and Innovation Centre.
Dr Rakesh Sharma provided the details regarding functioning of State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and Role of JKSCERT to provide best training to in-service teachers of Jammu and Kashmir.
The success of the event was made possible by the efforts of various committees, including members Anupama Sharma, Saneha Sharma, Vishalli, Sahil, Arvind Kumar, Vivek, Seema, Amandeep, Vishal, Rahul, Bhavana, Palki, and Arvind. Dr Deep Kumar, Dr Tajinder Kour, Dr Shifali Shrama, Dr Upasna, Dr P K Dhar, Dr V K Sharma, Dr Paramjeet Kour, Dr Sunita, Dr Rupa Mahajan, Meghna, Mukta, Renu Bala, Harvind Kour, Sanjeev Kumar, Ankit Bali and staff of DD&OE were also present on the occasion. Nearly 350 in-service teachers attended the celebration. The event concluded with vote of thanks by Shish Kumar.
