JAMMU, Sept 17: Business Incubation and Innovation Centre, University of Jammu (JU) here today organized a workshop on ‘Entrepreneurship and Innovation’. Professor Pearl, Yueh-Hsiu Lin, President, National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism (NKUHT), Taiwan, the Resource Person for the workshop in her keynote address appreciated the MoU signed between the JU and NKUHT, Taiwan and specified that the objectives and opportunities are not only for post graduate and undergraduate students in the form of fellowships but also for faculty members who can join teaching programmes.
She elaborated the evolution of wireless technologies and how mobile is taking over most of the jobs and the scope of tourism and hospitality in providing more interesting and more creative jobs.
Professor Richard Wu, Director, International Collaborations, NKUHT, Taiwan in his address illustrated the recent technologies ruling the world and highlighted the international partnerships of Kaohsiung University with various countries of the world including India (JU).
Prof. Manoj Dhar in his presidential remarks expressed his appreciation on the art of communication and active interaction between Prof. Wu and the students.
He motivated the students for thinking differently and take advantage of such opportunities and ensured support from the University for such intellectual collaborations.
Prof. Rajni Dhingra, Dean Research Studies in her concluding remarks enlightened the audience about the benefits of signing international MoUs for students in achieving milestones.
Earlier, Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director, Institution Innovation Council and University Incubation & Innovation Centre (UBIIC) in his welcome address talked on the various initiatives taken so far to promote innovation and students entrepreneurship.
