JAMMU, Nov 30: A meeting of the Jammu University Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Employees Association was held in new campus, here today under the chairmanship of Association president R L Kaith for discussing various issues.
The Association general secretary Surjeet Singh Heer alleged that issues of JU SC/ST employees were never taken seriously and this is evident from the fact that despite UGC directions, JU neither formed a Standing Committee for them nor provided them representation in competent bodies of the university.
The meeting urged the Vice-Chancellor to go in depth of SC/STs issues and resolve the same so that there may be no further injustice to SC/ST employees.
