JAMMU, Mar 21:The Department of Sociology, University of Jammu organized its alumni meet, wherein the students presented various cultural items.
Vice-Chancellor Prof R D Sharma, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that students should give their best in studies and in research that will help them to become a true sociologist in every field.
Rupika Sahai, Director Sahi Group of Companies was the special guest on the occasion. Prof Abha Chauhan highlighted the achievements of the department.
On the occasion, Alumni Association was also constituted by electing Ranjeet Sharma as president, Nisha Bahgul as vice president, Vineet Dubey as vice president, Naseer Ahmed Rather as secretary and Anil Sharma as cashier. Sarnjeet Kour, Rajneesh, Shagun and Khaleeq were made as executive members.
Shareeya Bakshi presented formal vote of thanks.
