JU to introduce PG Diploma in Banking & Risk Management, Accounting & Finance

JAMMU, Aug 28:  University of Jammu today held its Syndicate meeting under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof R D Sharma and discussed various academic as well as administrative matters.
During this 108th meeting of the Syndicate, around fifty items were presented by Prof Keshav Sharma, Registrar JU.
Besides confirming the action taken on the various items presented, the Syndicate endorsed the introduction of Post Graduate Diplomas in “Banking and Risk Management” and “Accounting and Finance” under Self Financing in collaboration with National Stock Exchange. Syndicate also endorsed the introduction of new subject(s) like Dogri, History, Music, Computer Application, Geography, Sociology and Bio-Technology in the Government Degree Colleges of Khour, Hiranagar, Paloura, Samba, Basohli, Poonch and Kishtwar.
The Syndicate also endorsed the adoption of SRO-232 regarding Child Care Leave for women employees of the University of Jammu.
Chairing the Syndicate meeting, Prof R D Sharma emphasized on further strengthening the path of excellence in higher education with more focus on improvement of research atmosphere in the main campus and offsite campuses of the University.
