JU VC flags off Bharat Darshan tour

JU VC Prof MPS Ishar and IG BSF Jammu Frontier SS Tomar with students on Bharat Darshan tour at Jammu on Wednesday.

JAMMU, Sept 18: Jammu University Vice-Chancellor Prof M P S Ishar today flagged off a Bharat Darshan tour by 40 students of remote areas of Jammu region.
The 10- day tour, organized by BSF Jammu, will provide an opportunity to young boys and girls in the age group of 12 to 16 years to witness rich heritage of the country.
They will go to Delhi, Agra, Ajmer Sharif, Bangluru, Kolkata. During their stay in Capital, the children will meet Union Home Minister and DG BSF, interact with various dignitaries and ride in Metro train.
On the occasion of flag off ceremony, S S Tomar, IG BSF Jammu Frontier said that Bharat Darshan tours were being organized for students of remote areas of Jammu region. So far BSF has organized 12 tours to Northern, Central and Southern states during which 458 students have availed this opportunity.
Prof Ishar also addressed the students and blessed them for a happy and comfortable tour. He also informed the students about the importance of such study tours which inculcate national feelings and national integrity besides giving them exposure of Indian heritage and culture.
The chief guest also distributed gifts among the students.
