JU VC releases 5 books

JAMMU, Dec 24: Jammu University Vice-Chancellor Prof  R D  Sharma, today released five books in a function organized in his Secretariat today.
The books released on the occasion, included; Tawi De Aalai Dualai, Tere Face Di Book Lei Baitha, Karmen Da Phal, Duggar Diyan Lok Khedan and  Duggar De Karsanki Jiwan Cha Kharka Te Suchcha.
The book release  function was attended by writers’ fraternity, officers of Jammu University, faculty members and JU research scholars.
Tawi De Aalai Dualai, is translated into Kashmiri by Pyare Hatash, the book contains short stories of prominent Dogri writers.  The scholars of PG  Department of Dogri rendered their full cooperation to  Pyare Hatash for translating it in Kashmiri language.
Tere Face Di Book Lei Baitha, a Punjabi book of Satire, is  written by eminent Punjabi writer Dr  Monojit and  translated into Dogri by Shiv Khajuria, a Ph.D. Research Scholar of Dogri Deptt.
Karmen Da Phal, a collection of Dogri folk tales,  is written by Shiv Khajuria, a Ph.D. Research Scholar of Dogri Deptt.
Duggar Diyan Lok Khedan, is witten by Shiv Khajuria, a Ph D. Research Scholar of Dogri Deptt while Duggar De Karsanki Jiwan Cha Kharka Te Suchcha , is written by Sonika Jasotria, a Ph D  Research Scholar of Dogri Deptt.
In his address,  Prof. R.D. Sharma lauded the efforts of the writers and appreciated the work of the scholars of Dogri Department with full commendations. He also stressed on the need to publish the books online too as these are noteworthy efforts done for promoting the Dogri language and must be one online.
Those who attended the function,  includes – Registrar Prof  Keshav Sharma, Dean Research Studies Prof. Jigar Mohd., Dean Faculty of Arts Prof  Kedar Nath Shartma, HOD Urdu Prof  Shohab Inayat Malik, Director Physical Education Prof  Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Prof  Parmeshwari Sharma, Prof. Vaidya Nath Labh, Prof. Shiv Dev Singh Manhas and others.
