JAMMU, Dec 5: Bhavna Mahajan’s book `Bhavna’, defining and encouraging women empowerment, was released here today.
Jammu University Vice-Chancellor Prof Manoj Kumar Dhar along with Team Jammu Chairman Zorawar Singh Jamwal and prominent writer Nirmal Vinod, formally released the book during a function, organized by Sanjeev Mahajan, husband of the author.
As per the author, women empowerment can be defined to promoting women’s sense of self worth their ability to determine their own choices and their right to influence social change for themselves and others.
Bhavna Mahajan is an example from being star student at college, than house wife entrepreneur and now author of a book ‘Bhavna’, which is an expression of her life.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Manoj Dhar applauded Bhavna Mahajan’s effort through this book to encourage the women empowerment.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal also expressed his views about the role of women in today’s society. Dr Nirmal Vinod and R J Sarang also spoken on the occasion.
The event was conducted by Prof Sunita Pandita. The vote of thanks was presented by Titiksha Mahajan and Syona Mahajan.
The book release function was attended by social activists, writers and family members of the author.
