JAMMU, Oct 31: Jammu University Vice-Chancellor Prof Manoj K Dhar today released a book on the Economy of Jammu and Kashmir, authored by Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean Faculty of Social Science and Dean Students Welfare University of Jammu.
This book is an enlarged edition of the earlier book on the economy of Jammu and Kashmir, which received good response from the readers. This book is divided into twelve chapters covering various economic aspects in details like geographical position, population, agricultural development, land reforms, cooperatives, tourism, human development, industrial development, state income and expenditure, forest, power sector and mineral resources.
This book is useful and informative to the planners, policy makers in the Government and to the students at the undergraduate /post graduate level and also for those who are preparing for competitive examinations. It could be a great source of information for researchers working on the Jammu and Kashmir.
