JAMMU, Dec 16: Prof. R.D. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, called on Governor N. N. Vohra, Chancellor of the University, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
The Governor held discussions with Prof. Sharma about the time-bound implementation of a systematic plan for enlarging the University’s capacities in the teaching and research arenas and to develop the institution as a centre of excellence. They also discussed important issues relating to the functioning of off-site Campuses.
The Governor re-iterated his concern about the need for maintenance of high standards of discipline, decorum and productivity by the students and the Faculties.

The Governor and Mr. Dhar discussed a number of issues regarding the preparations for the forthcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra and some of the steps being taken to make the forthcoming Yatra more comfortable for the pilgrims.
