Judicial officers imparted training on ‘Ubuntu’

SRINAGAR, Aug 2: On the instructions of Chief Justice High Court of J&K N. Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir, chairperson e-Court, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir, Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar and Justice Tashi Rabstan Members e-Committee, the training on “Ubuntu Linux Awareness-cum-Training Program under Change Management” for the Judicial officers of District Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and Budgam was conducted in High Court Complex Srinagar & for Judicial Officers of Rajouri, Poonch & Reasi at State Judicial Academy Jammu.
Judicial Officers of these districts were imparted training on use of Ubuntu Operating System customized by e-Committee, Supreme Court of India. The training was conducted by Proficient Master Trainers Malik Shabir Ahmed, CPC, High Court of J&K and Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi, Sub-Registrar, Srinagar & at Jammu by Alnasir Salaria Sub-Judge &  Parvez Iqbal, Munsiff.
Pervez Hussain Kachroo, Registrar Judicial Srinagar wing of the High Court and Pawan Kumar Kotwal, Director State Judicial Academy had made suitable arrangements for the training programme at both the places.
The Judicial Officers were made aware about the various advantage UBUNTU Linux 14.4 Operating System and various functionalities it carries.The officers were imparted practical training on the system as a whole.  They were attentive & showed eagerness to learn new concepts in the technology adoption – a process undertaken by the Hon’ble High Court.
e-Court Technical Staff namely Shahnawaz Wani (System Officer), Tajher  Bashir, (System Officer, Anantnag),  Malik Tariq (System Officer, Shopian), were present at High Court Complex Srinagar & Nikhil Kohli (Sr. System Officer) & Shadab Khan (System Assistant) were present at Jammu and they extended all the technical support in making the program successful.
