We have got a socialist’ democratic type of Govt. The idea of a welfare State is already in the constitution. The States have got their own budgetary allotments of various departments for various schemes for over all development of the people. The State has a number of State and Centrally sponsored welfare schemes.
On the whole if we assess properly and scientifically, there is no field where Centre lags behind in allotting funds open heartedly.
During the last year the Centre allotted Rs 1200 crore to the State. So it is obligatory on the part of State authorities to use funds well in time, so that they don’t get lapsed because some kind of funds allotted are lapsable if not used within the stipulated time. It is also in the interest of the State that they take the best possible advantage of the schemes and it is also the duty of the State Govt to educate people for getting benefitted from such schemes.
