POUNI, July 9: A meeting of Congress workers of Pouni block was held here today under the leadership of former Minister Jugal Kishore Sharma who called for strengthening party at grass root level.
While addressing the party workers, Jugal Kishore urged them to remain united and strength Congress at booth level in each corner of the constituency. He asked the workers to reach general public in their respective area and tell people about the works done by him during his tenure as MLA from 2002 to 2008.
Listing his achievements like District status to Reasi, Shiv Khori Shrine Board, District. Hospital Reasi , Degree College Reasi , Polytechnic College Reasi , Higher Secondary and High Schools in Pouni Block etc, Jugal Kishore asked people to compare these works with BJP MLAs who represented the constituency from 2008 onwards.
After the public meeting, Jugal Kishore also visited the family of deceased woman in Kheralair, who died because of lightning. He demanded that family of the victim should be paid some compensation from the Government.
