JAMMU, July 29: State BJP president and MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the time has come for votaries of Article-370 to inform the public as to how this special status has helped the state in progress and advanced the objective interests of the people of the State.
Accompanied by Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Incharge Yudhvir Sethi and State treasurer & Prabhari of Sunderbani Chander Mohan Gupta, Mr Jugal undertook a whirlwind tour of Sunderbani and its border habitations Laam and Patrara to create public opinion in favour of much needed political change in the country.
In his address at Sunderbani Jugal Kishore said that public must ask NC, PDP and Congress to render an audit of the utility of Article-370. He added that apart from keeping up the morale of anti-national elements no other effect of the Article-370 for the benefit of the common man can be discerned.
Sharma said that the so-called rural poor upliftment schemes like MGNREGA, Indira Awas Yojana etc have become milking cow for the ruling combine of the State and its minions. There is no perceptible improvement in the road connectivity, rural housing, availability of portable water inspite of enormous sums of money having been poured by the Government.
Sharma said that time has come for changing the political setup in the State and the country by voting out present ruling party and bringing in BJP. He said BJP would complete the unfinished agenda of national development that had been given by Atal Behari Vajpayee to the nation.
At Laam and Patrara, Sharma, in his address, said that the BJP would ensure that the people from these border regions are given preference in recruitment in security forces. He appealed the people to vote for the BJP in the coming election.
Yudhvir Sethi and Chander Mohan Gupta, in their addresses, appealed the party cadre to rise to the coming challenge and ensure that the party candidates are successful in the coming elections.
