Jugal demands stoppage for trains at Samba

JAMMU, July 22: Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Jammu today demanded stoppage for trains including Uttar Sampark Kranti, Malwa and Jammu Mail etc at Samba Railway Station.
Member of Parliament raised this issue of public importance in the Lok Sabha. He informed the House that most of trains like Jammu Mail, Jhelum Express, Malwa Express, Hemkund and many more trains passing from Samba Railway Station were used to take short halt at Samba Railway Station before COVID period. But after Covid period only stoppage of Hemkund Express was restored but the other trains still don’t stop at Samba Railway Station.
He said that people have to reach Jammu Railway Station or Pathankot Railway Station to catch these trains. Their haltage is still not restored due to which people of the area are facing many problems. People of the area also approached him many times and requested to restore the stoppage of trains. He urged Minister of Railways to consider the genuine demand of the residents of the area and restore the stoppage of Jammu Mail, Malwa Express, Jhelum Express and other trains at Samba Railway Station so that people should not be bound to take the alternate service by bus or other means.
