Jugal for development of Utterbehni-Purmandal pilgrimage centres

JAMMU, Mar 23: Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament, from Jammu Poonch Parliamentary constituency demanded development of Utterbehni and Purmandal pilgrimages in Jammu in Lok Sabha today.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while raising his issue in Lok Sabha said that Purmandal and Utterbehni are the two pilgrimages situated nearby Jammu at 40 kilometers distance. These two pilgrimages are named as Chota Kashi and mostly visited by the people of Jammu and tourists.
He said that they are situated on the banks of river Gupt Ganga and Devika and it is one of the rare places where a river flows from South to North. Rameshwaram and Bhuteshawar are ancient temples in Mandal. Member of Parliament said that Union Tourism Minister has also toured these twin religious places and committed for their development.
He also informed the house that detailed project report has also been framed for the development of both the pilgrimages. Jugal requested for providing adequate funds so that Utterbehni and Purmandal can be developed for the country wide pilgrimage.
