JAMMU, Feb 11: Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma, today inaugurated a newly installed 250 KVA transformer at Ward No-49, Channi Rama in the presence of former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, Member Legislative Council (MLC), Vikram Randhawa and Baldev Singh Biloria.
Speaking on the occasion, Jugal said that it was long pending demand of the people as the existing Transformers in the area were unable to bear the load.
A demand was raised up by both former legislator Gandhi Nagar and MLC Randhawa following which a sum of Rs 8.80 lakh was sanctioned from MP LAD fund for the installation of the said Transformer. He said that it was the sincere efforts of the Vikram Randhawa and Kavinder Gupta for ensuring that the people of the area get basic amenities.
Randhawa thanked the MP for releasing funds for the installation of the transformer and further assured the locals to carry out all round development of the area.
The locals present on the occasion applauded the efforts of the MLC and former legislator and assured them full support in future.
PDD XEN PD Singh, AEE Sardari Lal and his team was also present on the occasion.
Others who accompanied MLC included Dilbagh Singh, Prem Singh, Krishan Chand, Shiv Kumar Singh, Madan Dubey, Kulbir Singh Charak, Laiykat Ali and Jasdev Singh.
