JAMMU, May 26: Member of Parliament BJP (Lok Sabha) Jammu Poonch Jugal Kishore Sharma led delegation of West Pakistan Refugees met Divisional Commissioner Jammu Hemant Sharma and discussed various issues.
While speaking, Sharma raised the issue of providing certificates to West Pakistani Refuges in easy way on the format issued by Center Government. He also raised the issue of delay in compensation to the West Pakistan Refugees.
He asked for early assessment to provide compensation to those whose lands are beyond the fencing.
MP said that refugees have suffered a lot in their lives and should be helped in every manner. He raised the problem of the people of village Ranjan, Thati, Jandyal and other adjoining areas regarding their passage from the Defence unit situated at Akhnoor.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu assured that all the issues discussed in the meeting would be processed and resolved at the earnest.
Rehana Batool Additional Commissioner Jammu, Rajeev Ranjan District Development Commissioner, Nisar Ahmed Shad ACR Jammu, Labha Ram Gandhi President WPR, senior BJP leaders Ashok Khajuria, Krishan Lal, Parveen, Sukhdev and many others were present in the meeting.
