Jugal, Kohli undertake extensive tour of Rajouri

RAJOURI, Nov 17: BJP State President & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with Transport Minister Abdul Gani Kohli, undertook extensive tour of Khwas, Badal, Kotranka, Plama, Dassal, Balori, Budhal during the last two days and held public darbars to have direct interaction with the people and took stock of their problems.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, ACD and other officials of the district administration and RTO Jammu were also present in these darbars, wherein the grievances of the people were taken with them and on the spot directions issued to resolve the burning problems.
Mr Sharma and Kohli also addressed a workers meeting at Rajouri.
The MP announced Rs. 5 lakh for community hall at Khwas, installation of Hand pumps in Badal, Palma and Khwas, Rs. 5 lakh for developmental activities in Budhal and installation of High Mask Lights there. He also took up the grievances of the people related to non-plying of vehicles for commuters from Kotranka to Khwas with the RTO and the Transport Minister issued directions for taking up the matter on priority so that people are not made to suffer anymore.
Mr Sharma, while addressing workers meet at Rajouri, appealed them to get themselves aware about the Centrally sponsored welfare schemes launched by the BJP-led Government and reach the genuinely deserving people to educate them about the benefits of such schemes. He said that the PM’s package has earmarked Rs. 5100 crore for upgradation and widening of Jammu-Poonch road, which is indeed a great step towards providing facilities for further development and smooth flow of traffic.
Abdul Gani Kohli, said that both the Governments at the Centre and in the State are working towards bringing an era of development in all the three regions of the State. He said that the people living in far-flung and remote areas too are feeling that their areas which stood neglected during all these years in all matters and at all levels are now getting due attention and the day is not far when these areas will get a new look.
