JAMMU, Aug 13: Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Jammu-Poonch constituency along with former DyCM, Dr Nirmal Singh, former Minister, Sham Lal Sharma, former MLA, Chamb Krishan Lal and former VC, Kissan Board, Daljeet Singh Chib paid glowing tribute to Praja Parishad martyrs’ at Shaheedi Saathal Jourian in Akhnoor constituency today.
On eve of completion of one year of Abrogation of Article 370 from J&K a programme was organized by BJP at Jourian in which tributes were paid to martyrs of Praja Parishad who sacrificed their lives for removal of Article 370 from J&K State.
While addressing the gathering on the occasion, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that Praja Parishad revolutionaries started their agitation for “One nation, one Flag” which played a great role in formation of Republic India and to save the democracy in India. Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee sacrificed his life for this cause and raised slogan of “ Ek Desh Mein Do Vidhaan, Do Nishaan and Do Pradhaan Nahi Chaleinge -Nahi Chaleinge’’.
He said that with the conspiracy of Congress and National Conference (NC) rulers undemocratic Article 370 was incorporated in J&K. He said that this has only happened under the strong leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi that the Home Minister, Amit Shah removed Article 370 from J&K and great decision for construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya was also taken under their leadership.
President Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Parshotam Dadeechi also addressed the gathering on the occasion and saluted the patriotism of Praja Parishad revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
District president, Chamb, Jagdish Bhagat along with Mandal presidents, Sham Singh, Manga Ram, Sukhdev Singh and senior leaders of BJP, Sarpanches and Panches were present on the occasion.
