Jugal visits flood affected areas

VIJAYPUR, Aug 21: Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP and president State BJP along with  Chander Parkash  Ganga and officers of district administration Samba today visited the flood affected areas of Vijaypur Constituency. The villages he visited included Khanpur, Pakhari, Barota -Camp, Kamore, Keso Kamore-Camp,Rangoor ,Nanga etc.
In the village Koulpur people greeted BJP leaders. While addressing the meeting Sardar Surjit Singh said the village is situated on the bank of Basantar which has been given a Bandh earlier to save the area from flood furry. But due to floods caused by heavy rains it was damaged and created havoc as all standing crops and vegetables were damaged putting the villagers to heavy loss as they were totally dependent on the agriculture produce for their livelihood.
He said for last four -five years people of the area are facing flood furry.
Though repair of the Bandh had been going on but it is not up to the satisfaction of the people as they continuously face threat.
He also highlighted the other problems like erratic power supply etc.
In his address Jugal Kishore assured the people that their all
problems would be redressed and he will take up them with concerned agencies soon.
At Barota-Camp Sarpanch Rampal Choudhary also highlighted the problems created due to breach in band of Basantar village.
The meager amount of Rs300 per Kanal was given to the farmers and appropriated amount to single farmer was not more than Rs 1200.
He said no compensation was given to people in the belt whose 5000 kanals of land are under mines.
Juglal Kishore assured the people that damage caused by floods is a major issue and his party will raise it both in Assembly and Parliament to seek due compensation for the people.
The MP made a complete survey of the affected area.
