JAMMU, Dec 25: A special interaction session was held by the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Jammu to celebrate the institution’s achievement of securing an A++ grade and to recognize the contributions of its faculty.
The event took place at the Botanical Garden of the Department of Botany.
Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Dean Research Studies at the University, was the Chief Guest.
The event began with a formal welcome for Prof Rohmetra, which included the presentation of a floral basket and a memento.
Prof Yash Pal Sharma, Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences, gave a warm welcome and introduced the faculty members in attendance.
Dr Susheel Verma, Professor and Head of the Department of Botany, provided an overview of the Botanical Garden, its research facilities, and its significance to society.
During her address, Prof Neelu Rohmetra praised the faculty for their crucial role in the university’s research and development, which contributed to the A++ grade.
She encouraged faculty to collaborate on joint projects focused on societal benefits and assured full support from the Dean of Research Studies office to address any challenges.
Prof Rohmetra also emphasized the importance of regular interactions among faculty to share research insights and plan for the university’s future growth and its positive impact on society.
The faculty expressed their gratitude to Vice Chancellor Prof Umesh Rai for his ongoing support.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof Namrata Sharma.
The event was attended by Heads of Departments and faculty members from all departments within the Faculty of Life Sciences.
