Justice Puneet inaugurates e-Sewa Kendra, Book Bank cum Reading Room in Kargil

KARGIL, June 12: An e-Sewa Kendra and Book Bank cum Reading Room was inaugurated in Kargil here today.
The inauguration was done by Justice Puneet Gupta, Judge, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (Administrative Judge District Kargil) in presence of Malik Shabir Ahmad (Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil), Shrikant Suse, Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Shree Ram R, SSP Kargil, Shafiq Mushtaq Lone Munsiff/JMIC Sankoo and other District Officers.
e-Sewa Kendra is a facility which provides information to the general public regarding their cases in any court in India. The information can be like case status, next date, orders uploaded etc. Further the litigant and lawyers get certified copies of the orders and Judgments from e- Sewa Kendra.
Knowledge Hub (Book Bank cum Reading Room) is the initiative of Legal Services Authority and has been established by Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Zanskar in collaboration with District/Sub-Divisional Administration.
Books from diverse fields have been kept available in the reading room especially books for students to prepare for the competitive examination and this Book Bank cum Reading Room can go a long way to help the students in preparation for these examinations.
Earlier, Justice Puneet Gupta inspected all the Courts stationed in Old District Court Complex, Kargil and held a meeting with members of District Bar Association Kargil led by its president Reyaz Ahmad Khan and later visited New District Court Complex Kurbathang, Kargil where he took stock of the ongoing construction work, issued necessary instructions for speedy completion of the construction work.
He further directed the concerned agency to expedite the work so that the Court Complex comes up at the earliests.
Romil Singh Donk, SDM Zanskar and Mohd Hassan, Tehsildar Zanskar were virtually present during the inauguration ceremony.
