RAMBAN, Apr 8: A juvenile has been arrested for raping his minor neighbour in Kanga area, falling under the jurisdiction of Dharamkund Police Station.
As per police sources, a girl aged around 3 years was playing in the courtyard of her house when a youth aged around 18 years residing near her house took the girl to his house and allegedly raped her.
On hearing the cries, the family members of the girl rushed to the spot and caught hold of the accused.
The victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment and was later discharged after medical examination.
After getting information, a team from Dharamkund Police Station also rushed to the spot and arrested the accused.
The minor girl was handed over to legal heirs after conducting medical examination.
A case under FIR Number 4/2020 under Section 376 IPC and 3/4 Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered against the accused and investigation started.
