JWAM activists organise protest rally to seek support for Dec 25 Bandh

JAMMU, Dec 17: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) activists here today took out a protest rally seeking support from the traders for Dec 25 Bandh call.
The protesters were demanding construction of Ring Road from Amphalla-Manda to Janipur High Court road and to start Metro-Rail from Amphalla-Manda up to Akhnoor.
The rally started from New Plot and passed through Tali Morh where protesters raised slogans against the govt proposal for widening 20 ft of the Amphalla-Janipur High Court road up to Bantalab from both sides.
Addressing the protesters Sunil Dimple said that the PWD R&B has submitted the plan for financial approval for the widening of the road.
He asked the traders to support rally on Dec 25 against the government proposal.
“The Govt is not taking the traders and residents into confidence and wants smash their business points and residences,” he said.
He appealed to the Governor Satya Pal Malik to intervene.
The protesters included Poli Sharma, Sweteey Kaur, Sham Saroop Gupta, S. Tarlok Singh, Rajinder Bhargab and others.
